About the Speaker:
Donna Kuhn grew up on a 'Grade A' dairy farm and knows the value of hard work. She and her husband, Ray, have been married for 55 years and have three children and six grandchildren.
While Ray served 28 years in submarine service, Donna kept the home fires burning and anchored through the ministry of military chaplains and base chapels.
With Ray at sea for long periods of time, Donna led Bible studies for Navy wives in her home, at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and Groton, Connecticut. She also led studies in rural homes in Minnesota for women homebound due to farming accidents.
Donna put a son through college working for JC Penney's in Custom Decorating and served as area representative for Concerned Women for America. She has served on the boards of Ponderosa Republican Women, Spokane College Women, Washington State Quilters, and the City of Spokane Ethics Commission. In addition to receiving a Master in International Management degree from Whitworth University, Donna raised two grandsons and cared for her mother.
A volunteer for Quilts of Valor, Donna will be bringing some beautiful quilts honoring local military veterans.
Her favorite verses from Scripture include Psalm 92 - producing fruit in old age -- and 2 Corinthians 2:15 - being the fragrance of Jesus.
A meal will be provided by Christ Kitchen.
